BoneFit-informed safety + LIFTMOR-style loading
Why progressive loading matters for bone health
Bone responds to the right training signal: enough load to matter, progressed carefully, paired with balance, posture, and spine-safe movement. At Mindful Movement PT, that means matching exercise to your DEXA results, fracture history, current strength, symptoms, and confidence with movement.
LIFTMOR trial signal: supervised loading changed measurable outcomes
In the LIFTMOR randomized trial, postmenopausal women with low bone mass completed 8 months of twice-weekly, 30-minute supervised high-intensity resistance and impact training after screening. Results are group averages, not guarantees for an individual patient.
The program elements that matter
Who These Classes Are For
- Women with osteopenia or osteoporosis who want to build strength safely.
- Women who received a DEXA scan and are unsure what exercise is appropriate.
- Women who have been told to walk more but want a more targeted bone-density plan.
- Women who want coaching on lifting technique, balance, and progressive loading.
What the Program Includes
- Up to eight classes per month for $200/month.
- Small-group coaching with attention to safety, form, and progression.
- BoneFit-informed exercise choices for osteoporosis and fracture-risk awareness.
- LIFTMOR-based clinical foundations using progressive resistance training principles.
- Strength, balance, impact-readiness, and lifting mechanics scaled to your ability.
Why Walking Is Not Enough for Bone Density
Walking is helpful for cardiovascular health, balance, and general activity, but bones usually need progressive loading to adapt. That means strength training, appropriate impact or weight-bearing work when safe, and a plan that progresses over time.
How Safety Is Handled
Class members are coached on neutral spine positions, safe hinge and squat mechanics, progressive loading, balance, and modifications when fracture history, pain, or mobility limitations are present. If you need more individual screening first, one-on-one osteoporosis physical therapy may be the better starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions
When do the bone-density classes start?
Classes start in May. Call or schedule a free consult to get on the list and confirm fit.
How much are the classes?
The class program is $200 per month for up to eight classes.
Are the classes safe if I have osteoporosis?
The classes are built around BoneFit and LIFTMOR clinical foundations, but safety depends on your fracture history, balance, strength, pain, and medical background. The free consult helps determine whether class or one-on-one PT is the best starting point.
